VNG's core business comprises gas imports, gas wholesale, gas transport, the operation and marketing of storage capacity. The VNG subsidiary ONTRAS – VNG Gastransport GmbH operates a pipeline network spanning more than 7,000 kilometres. With a working gas capacity of 2.3 billion cubic metres, VNG is one of the largest gas storage operators in Germany. VNG has its roots in the eastern part of Germany, but also proactively harnesses opportunities throughout Germany and leverages the potential on European markets through trading activities,shareholdings and cooperation projects. |
