Gas Imports

The high level of supply security and competitiveness are based on long-term supply contracts with numerous producers and supply companies.

In the 2008 financial year, VNG took 169,5 billion kWh of gas from many producers and suppliers. 42 percent of the gas came from Russian sources, 24 percent from Norway and 23 percent from German suppliers.
Gas treatment plant in Yamburg, Siberia. The settlement with a population of some 300 plus approx. 1,400 gas workers was built in the early 1908s when development work on the gigantic Yamburg gas field began.
