We foster and encourage our employees throughout their career. The personal and professional development of employees is a paramount objective for VNG. Our professional advanced training management system ensures that the training offered is in line with the applicable quality requirements.

We mainly select junior managers from among our own workforce. Our junior management development programmes give our employees the opportunity to foster and develop their skills. Our managers also benefit from management seminars specially tailored to their needs and their areas of work.

A harmonious work/life balance lays the foundation for employees’ performance and dedication. VNG was certified as a family-friendly employer within the framework of the "berufundfamilie" audit.

On December 5, 2012, VNG – Verbundnetz Gas Aktiengesellschaft (VNG) received the berufundfamilie audit certificate for the second time. This once again confirms our family-aware human resources policy. The certificate is awarded every three years by berufundfamilie gGmbH, an initiative of the not-for-profit Hertie Foundation. Awards are made to companies and institutions who support their employees in harmonising their work and their family lives.
